Sure, Google Slides is pretty powerful, but it seems like Google Slides presentations start to look alike after awhile. So, spice up your presentations with SlidesCarnival!

After navigating to SlidesCarnival, you can browse through the templates on the front page, or look through different categories using the menu at the top of the screen.

Once you find a theme you want to use, click on scroll down on the page until you see the big orange Use as Google Slides theme button.

After you click on that button, the presentation will preview in your browser. In the upper right corner will be a blue USE TEMPLATE button.

This will open up a new presentation using the theme. Unfortunately, there will be a bunch of slides already in the presentation, but on the flipside, those slides can give you ideas on how to put together your slide deck.

If you would like to use the theme on an already created presentation, you’ll have to import the theme into the created presentation. After following the steps above, you’ll have a new presentation named after the theme. In my examples, the presentation with the theme is called Ely – SlidesCarnival. Remember the name, because it will be important.

Open up the presentation to which you want to apply the new theme. Go to the Slide menu and select Change theme.

The Themes browser will show on the right. These are the built in themes. To use our theme from SlidesCarnival, click on Import theme at the bottom.

Remember when I said to remember the name of the theme created above? This is where it comes in handy. Depending on when you opened the theme file, it may not show up at the top of the import theme browser. If it doesn’t, type the name of the document into the search bar to find it. In my case, the Ely – SlidesCarnival is right at the top.

Select the file, then click the Select button. GoogleSlides will now show you all of the themes in the file, which in most cases will be a single theme. Click on the theme and then Import theme.

The theme will be imported and the presentation will be set to use the new theme.

Try it out and let me know if you have any questions!
